Meadowlark Music Academy strives to help students become proficient, artistic pianists, and also to develop a lifelong love and appreciation for music. Lessons include not only traditional piano technique and learning to read music, but also playing by ear, improvisation and composition. Most students will work out of a traditional method book, with many varied supplements to fit their needs and goals. Music theory and history are incorporated into weekly lessons, and also featured in occasional group lessons. Students will work on a wide variety of music, including classical piano repertoire, hymns and hymn arrangements, pop, blues, Broadway tunes, and more. The goal of our studio is to help students of any age become well-rounded musicians who can play for their own enjoyment, as well as for family and friends.
